Date and Time format

I want to have a date/time format for certain fields and I also put the
date/time input mask for those fields. But the problem is that when I enter
anything besides the date or time, there is an error message that said I have
to enter in the dedicated format or else i can't proceed. Is there a way I
can enter anything besides the date but also have the date format for the
date and time when I need it? Any help is appreaciated.

Are you talking about putting something besides a date/time in that field? If
it's a Date/Time field, you can only put Date/Times in it. To put different
types of data in the same field is very bad.

If it is a date/time, just remove the input mask.
