Date also does 2005-06-16 automatically - How do I turn it off

When I type a date in Word, and I type 16 June 2005
the 2005 is automatically appended like
2005-06-16 which is activated by hitting the enter key.

I dont want the extra "-06-16" having typed the date the way I have.

Does anyone know how to turn this [*****] feature off.

I like other portions of autotext and autocorrect, just not this one.

Thank you in advance

You can't turn off just this. Get in the habit of pressing the space bar
after your date before pressing Enter.

Or (my preference) use a template that already has a CreateDate field where
you want your date to create your new documents.
