Datasheet form - possible to total record entries?

I have a datasheet subform set up which displays through filtering by
Name and w/c date, a list of weekly projects and number of hours spent
on each project.

e.g. at top of form the user will select Joe Bloggs and w/c 27.02.06

Then appearing below in the subform will be:-

Project Monday Tuesday Wednesday etc

Research on QCA 1.5 2.5 2.25
Research on DfES 1 1 1

I would like a total of the number of hours spent to appear at the
bottom of each Mon Tues Weds column - is this possibly?

Not in Datasheet, but how about Continous Form view?

If you must have Datasheet, you could put it in a subform, and bring the
results back onto the main form. The Orders form in Northwind has an example
of bringing a total back to the main form.

No it doesn't have to be presented in Datasheet view - I haven't heard
about Continous Form view though and can't find it when searching in
help. Could you give me a little bit more info about it please?

I will look into Northwind database as well to see how that works.
Thanks!

I have now found continuous view - and have discovered that yes, I do
need the data displayed in datasheet view. Thanks anyway.

If Continuous Form view is new, you may not realize that you can cut the
labels and put them in the Form Header section (View menu in form design).
Then size the text boxes as needed, and butt them up against each other
horizontally.

The result is not dissimilar to Datasheet view, but the user cannot
accidentally "lose" columns by hiding or resizing them, so the interface is
much more robust. Additionally, you can have command buttons as well as the
totals at the bottom of your columns.

Personally, I use Contintouous rather than Datasheet about 98% of the time.
