Datalist and datagrid

Hi everyone..

I am new asp.net and c#. I wanna ask something about the advantags of
DataList and Datagrid controls..
As I saw, creating a Datagrid control is easier way as datalist. u dont need
to dela with Templates.
So..when or why should I have to use datagrid?? is there any advantages??
for example speed adv or smth else..
