DataGridView - How to change the current record

Stewart Berman

I have a DataGridView control that has a DataSet as a data source and is bound to a table in the
dataset.

I can change the row selected in the DataGridView control but the carrot that indicates the current
record does not move to the newly selected row. How do I set the current record in either the
DataGridView control or the DataSet?

Hello Stewart,

Thank you for using Microsoft Managed Newsgroup Service, I'm Zhi-Xin Ye,
it's my pleasure to work with you on this issue.

To set the current record, you can use the DataGridView.CurrentCell
property. For example,

//Make the third row as current row.
this.dataGridView1.CurrentCell = this.dataGridView1[0,2];

For more information about the CurrentCell property, you can refer to this
document:

If anything is unclear, please feel free to let me know.

Have a nice day!

Sincerely,
