datagrid/datatable update

Hi,
I have a datagrid based on a datatable. With two buttons users can move up
or down the lines in the datagrid.
What would be the best way to work:
- update the datagrid cells (which are reflected in the table) or
- update the datatable (which are reflected in the grid)

Any pro's or con's?

Te objects in the datatable are not a reflection of the datagrid however
they are showed in a datagrid or a lot of other controls.

So the answer what to update is the datatable
