Datafiltering using 2 DropDownList

I have found that almost every article about DDL:s is about bound DDL:S
- that is - how to bind the DDL:s to data present within a table. What
if I want to search for a certain item in the tabel using two DDL:S, not
populated by the tablesitem but with one or more programatically set
itemslist.

Sure could need some answers.
