I have disabled the shift key and the database window in access 2000
but when I open the database in access xp I can access the database
window... How do I solve this problem???

Thanks

Rich

Well, when you disable the shift key, you generally have to make option, or
secret menu to un-shift the application.

In fact, since you should always distribute a mde to your users, then the
LAST thing you do is set the sift key. Since you can't make changes to the
mde file,a nd must continue working on the mdb file, then this is never a
problem! You should be using a mde for you users anyway.

Hopefully you did not set the shift key with security!

Just download my sample shift key setter. it lets you browse to any
ms-access file, and set/un-set the shift key. Just don't give the program
out to everyone! ;-)

You get grab that example at:
