I was asking myself if anyone has experience with the database parts in the
free office suites like:

- 602
- easyoffice
etc. ?

Reason:
I'm still looking for a database for unstructured data with the easyness of
Scrapbook but with the capability of inserting web pages, links and
pictures.
I don't like treepads and a commercial program like Asksam is, I think, too
heavy.
Thank you.

PS : the most easy databases have bad search functions as far as I have
seen.

Having done some exhaustive research on this issue, I don't think you are
going to do better than Keynote for freeware. It allows images but at the
expense of huge file sizes. (Perhaps a thumbnail with a link to the larger
file as a solution?)

There was a program called Netpad that had the capabilities that you are
looking for, but it was more awkward than Keynote to use IMO. You could try
searching for it, but it is hard to find these days.

Thanks ML (late reaction).
I tried Keynote.
And it does hyperlinks.
Pictures it does also but makes it "very heavy"
I give it a try.
