When I try and use the database interface wizard it keeps trying to make a
new web versus create the database in my existing web. Any ideas how to fix
this?

Do you have the current web open in FP first?

On the Web Site Templates dialog box, select Database Interface Wizard.
Underneath the browse button, make sure that the check box next to Add to
current Web is checked. That adds the new pages to the existing web site.
Click OK.
