Data Validation

Hi all.

XL2K.

I have a file which had list validation in one cell. The list was on the
same sheet, a few columns across. I've cleared the validation, but the
dropdown is still visible (although it doesn't actually do anything).

Nothing about the sheet is protected, locked or hidden. There are no links.
Any suggestions?

Try this, select the same cell, do data validation with a list and uncheck
in cell dropdown,
apply it. Clear all..

Andy,

Did you change the <Allow> value in the <Settings tab> of the Data
Validation dialog back to "Any Value"?

Thanks Peo, tried that, no joy. Ditto Detect & Repair. Probably corrupted BAR.

Yes, both specifically *and* by virtue of clicking "Clear All".

I'm writing the file off, thanks anyway.
