I am doing a course on access with office 2000 at school, I save the
excerises on a floppy to practice at home where i have windows xp with office
97 installed, it seems everytime i try to open files from floppy access does
not know what format they are, can anyone help me out with this as i have
exams and am getting no practice at home, thanks for any info.

Access 97 cannot read the Access 2000 format.

When you're saving, go to Tools | Database Utilities and save the file in
Access 97 format. Note that if you're using features of Access 2000 that
aren't available in Access 97, your conversion will be incomplete.

Access isn't installed with the basic version of Office - just with
Office 2000 Pro. Are you certain that Access even exists on your home
computer? Do a search for "msaccess.exe" in Windows Explorer to see.
