Data Fields retain unwanted entries

How does one get rid of the history of entries in certain
data fields with personal information that was entered
erroneously and will never be needed, but that keeps
showing up as in the dropdown list of entry choices?!?!?!?!
 
There are all sorts of tweaks to clear MRU lists. Free
tools like MRU Blaster can help. If you just want the auto
complete of personal info then with your IE browser open
click tools\internet options\content-auto complete button
and turn off auto complete. Sites like www.dougknox.com
and www.kellys-korner-xp.com have tweaks for turning of
the recording of URL history and so on. Keep smiling.
 
Go to start/settings/Control panel/internet options, click the content tab
and then the autocomplete button and make whatever choices you desire. That
information will not show up again.
