Data changes when Analyzed with Excel

I have a query with 3 tables that represent master item list, count qty and
as qty. When I look at the results in Query, all is well and accurate yet
when I select Analyze with Excel, values change. For example, if a record
shows zero qty in the as of field and zero quantity in the count field, I get
a value in one or both of the fields that origianlly were zero. Other than
linking the tables and grouping by master item list (to show all parts
regardless of qty's), there are no formulas or expressions in this query.

One of the tables is linked to a FoxPro table via ODBC driver.

Why do the values change when exported to Excel? I am desparate to fix this
as I have been working on this for over a month and cannot trust my results
in the Excel format that my accountant requires. There are 20,774 records in
this query with 5 columns of data. Item, description, cost, as of qty and
count qty.

Kristibaer.
This is a guess.
Create a table to hold the results of your query (the one that uses the 3
tables)
Append your current query to the new table.
If needed, base a totals query on the new table and do the analyze with
excel routine on that.

Kristibaer,

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. I've been a little busy...plus, I just
don't have too much experience with "Analyze with XL". I've never come
accross this problem in the 1 or 2 times I've used this feature.

But how about this...what happens when you create an external DB query from
a blank XL workbook/worksheet to this query? Do you get the correct
results, or do you get the errors?

Also, please post a sample of the correct results of your query and the
incorrect results when you Analyze. Could this just be a matter of AC
displaying the results rounded to zero because of formatting? (then again,
maybe not....don't formats copy from AC to XL when you Analyze?...don't
remember). Are there some results in XL that are correct or are all results
wrong? In other words, are only the zero results in AC showing up wrong in
XL, or are non-zero results coming out wrong too?

HTH,

Conan
