Data Base Splitter Problem

I have used the splitter on numerous occassions with no problems. This time I
get a pop-up saying " Subscript out of range". After I touch the OK button on
that pop-up, I get another pop-up syaing "Invalid procedure call or argument"
After I touch the OK button on that Pop-up, I am left with the splitter form
again which I canceleld. I have tried this several times with the same
resluts each time.
The splitter did save a copy of the tables with the _be title but it is not
protected in the main file. I can access the tables and change the design in
them on the main copy.
What in blazes has happend?

Hey!! I discovered the problem although how it manifests in a "Subscript out
of range error", I will never likely know. I had changed a lookup from a
names table to look up from a qery based upon the names table so that the
names could be shown in alpha order instead of as-entered order. At the same
time (why?) I established a relationship between the query and the table.
When I deleted that relationship and put back the table-to-table
relationship, the splitter worked. I won't tell you how many versions back l
I had to go to get a version that worked so I could work forward.
I hope that no one put in a lot of research time on this one.
