Data analysis add ins

I was wondering if the data analysis add ins products onyl
come with office professional products or do they come
with the office standard products too? I have students
who want to use the functions but cannot find them even
after doing a reinstall. I have them on my version of
office, but I do have the professional installation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Darrell

You must have the Analysis toolpack checked to see it in the
Tools menu.
Look in Tools>Add-ins in the menubar if it is checked

The Analysis ToolPak add-in is included on the installation disk with all
Office/Excel versions. Depending on the options you select when you install
Office/Excel, the Analysis ToolPak add-in may or may not be installed on
your hard disk.

Here's a relevant section from my book, Data Analysis Using Microsoft Excel:
Updated for Office XP.

If the Data Analysis command doesn't appear on the Tools menu, choose the
Add-Ins command from the Tools menu; in the Add-Ins Available list box,
check the box next to Analysis Tools. If Analysis Tools doesn't appear in
the Add-Ins Available list box, you may need to add the Analysis ToolPak
through a custom installation using the Microsoft Excel Setup program.
