DASL filters 2007 not retained

When I create a custom view and edit advanced filters (creating a DASL
filter) I notice they are not retained in Outlook 2007 on Vista. Even
if I just switch panes from Contacts to Mail, let alone quit, the DASL
filter dissappears.

I've noted other problems with complex criteria and possible
corruption - this is worrying.

Can you give us an example of the type of filter you're creating?

Here is just a simple one, I modified an Advanced filter which I
believe only supports AND operator, I needed OR:
C000-000000000046}/EBR%20Code" > 0 OR "http://schemas.microsoft.com/
mapi/string/{00020329-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}/EBR" = 1)

This is shown as a DASL filter in the Customise View window, however
switch to Mail pane then back, click on Customise current view again
and FILTER reads "Off", nothing retained.

Are you making this change in the current view? Or are you going through the Define Views dialog to edit a stored, named view?

I have defined a new table view, then used "customised current view"
to modify the filter.

I would suggest that you make your modification through the Define Views dialog, modifying the named view, not the current view. Let us know if the filter persists when you do that.

Still no good, same as before.
