Dashboard/Konfabulator

I saw some really nice widgets to an application called konfabulator.
Now I want to do a widget on my own!

I would like to write a "native" widget, so I can distribute it to my
collegues without them having to install Konfabulator.

Do anyone have any pointer or idea where I can begin?
