DAO;OpenRecordset;dbInconsistent option affects number of records

I'm opening a DAO's Recordset over a SQL string referring several linked ODBC
tables (backend in SQL SERVER) and Access tables, using the 'dbOpenDynaset'
type. When I use 'dbInconsistent' option no records are returned, when I
don’t, it shows the expected records.
The 'dbInconsistent' option shouldn't affect only the Updatable property and
not the number of records retrieved?
