Customizing Outlook Colors

R

Ron

Hi,

I have 5 boys that play hockey, several dogs, horses and etc and tracking
all of that is a mess. I like the few colors that are open now in Outlook to
color code appts (green is medical, blue is one kid hockey, yellow is wife's
call days, etc) but am out of colors. Is it possible to add colors to the
list. Either through an add in program or somehow though the Outlook program.
I would like to ad a few more colors to start to track things like school
events, and etc.

Thanks,

What version of Outlook are you using? OL2007 & higher allow for the use of
25 color categories

I am using the Outlook 2007. How do I get to the 25 color pallette? That
would work for sure.

Thanks

Choose "All Categories" when you've got a choice of category and check out
the color selector. You should have a choice of 25 colors there for new
categories.

OK, I tried that and couldn't find my way. I open a new appt in the calander
and put something in. I then can hit the drop down button (with the 4 colors
on it) to select my catagory color. It still has the same basic ones and I
do not see a button to get to All colors.

Thanks for you help so far,

If you click Categorize, you don't see a full list of your color categories
then an All Categories option?

Hmmm, just to be sure... you're using OL2007?

Oh, wow, I found it. I am using 2007 and was OK but for some reason it was
messing up on me. I went into the actual drop down colors and only the main
exsisting colors were there, as soon as I created the appt and then saved it
and then clicked on it to select it but not to open it I can click Catigorize
and it opens up just like you said. I created a new color catagory and now
when I open the appt item and hit the drop down button that color is there so
Life is Great for Me..... Thank you very very much.

Have a nice day,
