Customizing a calendar view

I am using Outlook 2002. I want to customize the default view for the day week month calendar view.

Currently the default view for the "day week month" calendar view displays the calendar only. Placing the cursor on the right margin of this view and dragging the cursor to the left compresses the calendar and displays the previous and subsequent months atop a list of tasks. This view with the previous and subsequent month and task list is the view I use. How can I get this view to be the default?

I am able to get this view customized for printing (File, Page Setup, Define Print
Styles, etc.). Why can't I get it to be the default view?

If you choose to show the TaskPad and Date Navigator, that view should stick
unless you're showing the Month view, which usually wants to take up all the
available space. Your view should stick in Day, Week, and Work Week views,
though...

Am I correct in my understanding that the default view for the Month view cannot be customized to include the TaskPad and Date Navigator

As far as I know, that is correct for Outlook 2002 and earlier. If you
bring up the Date Navigator and TaskPad in the month view, then change out
of the Calendar and come back, the DN and TP will have disappeared again.
Outlook 2003 seems to have changed this, however.
