Customized Quick Access Toolbar Disappears

I created my customized QAT with a long list of macros and it keeps
disappearing on me. So I have to re-create it and it's wasting loads of
time. Why is this happening?

If you are on a network, note that the location of the Word.qat file that
stores the settings is not included in the user profile. But note that you
can make a backup of the file and restore it after you've logged into
Windows. Then, when you start Word, you will have the desired items on the
Quick Access Toolbar.
