customize taskbar

when i change the settings on the the task bar for
instants when i enable quick launch the settings do not
save. So when i reboot my desk top goes back original and
none of the settings that i've changed stay.

I have the same situation. I did the number 54 as suggested but still no
save. Any other thoughts?

Strange behavior.
The #54 fix didn't work at first. So I reset the registry value to 0 for
nosavesettings and added the quick launch and a custom toolbar.

On exit and reboot the toolbar wasn't there but the quick launch was. (with
nosavesettings at 0???)
I reset the nosavesettings to 1 with a custom tool bar but still no save on
the tool bar (quick launch remained however).

So I tried adding my custom toolbar plus a windows folder as another toolbar
(used my docs) reboot and they saved. I then removed the my docs toolbar
from the task menu left the custom one and reboot again, this time the
custom one was saved.

Can't explain it but it worked.
