Customize Menus

Is there a way to customize the open/save menus that appear with Windows XP
when using various programs. These are the menues that have the shorcut
buttons to "My recent documents/Desktop/My Documents/My computer/My Network"
down the left side of the dialog box. I use other file locations that would
be more efficient.

You can do this in TweakUI > Common dialogs > Places bar. TweakUI is
available from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp.
