Custom theme

I would like to make a custom theme, using Windows XP style Windows and
buttons. I can choose one of the three color schemes, but I can't seem to be
able to change them. On the Display Properties dialog, Appearance tab, I
choose Windows XP Style for Windows and buttons. Then I choose the Silver
color scheme. Then I click advanced and change the fonts and colors for some
of the desktop items. For example change font and colors for the Active Title
Bar. When I click apply It appears to change them in the dialog box, but when
I go back to Windows it still has the same settings.

I'm able to change the settings when using Windows Classis style, but not
Windows XP Style. Why not? Is there a fix for this problem?

you cannot do it like you are trying because visual styles are bitmap
images...

you will need a program to edit the style and save it again, and this is not
so simple as it may seem. See this site for the application needed:

StyleBuilder

The new visual styles that come with XP are blue, olive green, and metallic.
That may be enough for some, but here at TGT, we want more choices.
StyleBuilder allows users to create their own additional high-quality styles
to fit your unique personality.
