Custom Menu Questions (Access 2000)

I've got an MS Access database that I want to build a custom dropdown
menu for. I'm developing in MS Access 2002, but my .mdb is in v2000
format. Two questions I have: (a) how do I get rid of the little
black down arrow that is displayed to the right of the text on my menu
header along the top, and (b) if I create this menu in my v2000
database, will it cleanly/smoothly convert when I convert my .mdb to a
newer MS Access version such as 2003 or 2007 (or even 2010 next year)?

Thanks,

There should be anything that displays. It sounds like you have the menu bar
set as a tool bar. Change it to a menu bar...and the arrow thingy should go
away.

It will run fine in 2003. In 2007 and later it can run, but you not have the
tools to maintain and modify the menus except by code.

Albert,
You nailed it. It was set as a Toolbar. Editing the properties and
changing the type to Menu Bar removed the down arrow. Thanks for your
help.
