Hello, I need help doing a custom format in Excel.

If I have a field that represends the number of days in numberic format, say 3.5 (3 1/2 days). I want to covert it to Days:Hours:Minutes. AKA 03:30:00 for 3.5.

Can someone help me with that? The Excel format "dd:hh:mm" takes 3.5 and displays "03:22:19" which is incorrect.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
if I put 3.5 in a cell and format it with the custom format
D:hh:mm

I'll get
3:12:00

whichs sounds correct for me 812 hours = 0.5 days)
