Cursor disappearing with italics - Word 2007

When I apply italics to some text the cursor disappears when it is in that
text. It reappears when it goes over non-italicised text. Is there any way
to stop this happening?

I'm not seeing that occur. What font are you using? It can be font specific, theme/font set or even graphics card driver specific.

Thanks for responding Bob

The font is RotisSemiSans. I will try it with other fonts. Actually I have
now discovered it does not happen all the time., I am trying to work out
what I do just before it happens.
