Curser automatically clicks on items if left hovering over button

I'm not sure why this is happening, if it's a browser issue or what. I've
never experienced anything like it before. All I know is this only happens
on my laptop. If the curser is left hovering over a link or button for a
short period of time it will automatically click that link or button.
Usually my hands are on the touchpad when this happens. I'm currently using
Firefox/1.5.0.1 and have a Dell Inspiron 6000. Any suggestions?

Check the options in the Control Panel for the Glide Pad. (Synaptics?). It might be a tab
embedded with the Mouse settings.
