Currency conversion

I have a form that has 4 text boxes that contain currency amounts. I had set
these to defaults as they were the Max allowed (ok to be under not ok to be
over) I manually added the max amounts for the 4 textboxes and typed out the
long currency amount ex. One thousand five hundred thirty-five and
No/100------
Well now my user has decided that they don't always want to accept the max
amount they want to be able to change it, that's not the problem the problem
is the long written currency amount. I will now have to calculate the dollar
amount and convert $1535 into One thousand five hundred thirty-five and
No/100------ has anyone else ever done this before?
