Cumulative patches

This might seem a simple question so here goes

Does the latest CUMULATIVE PATCH for IE6 contain ALL the Previous IE6 Updates that have been supplied by Microsoft?

If yes, then do I need to download all the previous patches too?
 
When you check with the Windows Update site, the site does
a search on your computer and presents you with patches
that need installing.
