Ctrl-F6 Command Not Working

James Neale

Recently, the Ctrl-F6 command for switching between
windows in open applications, such as Word or Acrobat, has
stopped working. Is there a way to reactivate this
command?

Thanks.

Actually, that's not quite right. F6 will
change between frames or panes in the same
active window. For changing between windows --
e.g., separate documents loaded simultaneously
in Word or Acrobat, you need Ctrl-F6. That's
what's stopped working on my system. F6 alone
still works fine.

Not that I know of, but I suppose it's
possible. I have loaded a bunch of new
software recently. I wonder how I would
find out if Ctrl-F6 has somehow been
preempted?

Here is a possible. Make a shortcut to a folder and put it on the
Desktop. Try Assigning "Ctrl-F6" as the short-cut hot-key and see if
that works. If that works change the short-cut back to None and see if
your Ctrl-F6 functionality returned.
