Ctrl + End takes me way beyond used range

I have a worksheet with 4 columns and 66 rows. There are no blank
cells in the range. The last cell is D66. When I hold Ctrl and press
End cell G90 is selected. I've selected all blank rows and columns and
used Edit>Clear>All but it still goes back to G90. This happens with
other sheets as well. What gives?

Deleting the cell contents doesn't work, you need to delete the whole rows
then save the file,

Select all of the blank rows and columns and delete them. Once you have
saved the file it will be OK.

Andy.
