Ctrl+A is Select All, What's default for Select None?

Hi Gang,

In most programs Ctrl+A is Select All. I'm inclined to use the most
common keyboard shortcuts, whenever possible. What are the names of
some programs that have a key assigned for select none and what key do
they use?
I think I'm going to go with Ctrl+ (Minus Sign), but I'm interested in
people's suggestions.

Thanks,
Christian

I don't quite understand what does this have to do with C#. Ctrl + minus
sign does cycling between last cursor positions in VS.NET, so I believe you
are not using VS either. In some programs (photoshop for instance), deselect
is handled by ctrl + D. In most text editors (including VS, but I believe
you are not using it), you need just to press any key (e.g. arrow key) to
cancel the selection.

I've seen some some programs with this solution: If your not on a
selected item then Ctrl+A selects all, but if your on a selected item
Ctrl+A deselects all. Other programs use Ctrl+\ to deselect all. The
most common solution is to deselect all when any movement key is
pressed.

Christian,

I always use ESC to cancel selections in most of the programs I use.

Hope this helps.
