ctfmon.exe and ccapp locking up

At unspeciifed times the taskbar and screen locks up. I
can switch programs with Alt-tab and save and close
things but the if I drag a window around the screen it
leaves trails of itself. WHne I shutdown with the app
manager it tells me the ccApp is not responding then
ctfmon.exe and finally trys to end explore.exe. Upon
restarting it works again unitl an unknown event triggers
the failure again. Any ideas???
