.csv files and Scientific number display

When opening a .csv file in Excel that contains phone numbers, all the phone numbers are displayed in Scientific notation. The problem is that I need to select those columns, and choose format cells, numbers and set the decimal place to zero before saving the file again. If I do not perform the above step, the numbers lose the last few significant digits. E.g. 44778756789 is saved as 44778750000. Is there a way to set Excel preferences to not display any numbers with Scientific notation when opening such a file

Thank you

If you rename your .csv file to .txt, then when you open it, you can specify
that this field should be treated as text.
