cross forest/domain logon script problem

We are in progress of migrating from an old forest/domain
for a company that went into receivership. We set up a new
forest/domain and set up a trust from the old
forest/domain to the new one so that users in the new
domain could access the data in the old one but the
receivers in the old domain could not access data in the
new one.
The PCs are registered in the old domain but show in the
logon screen both domains. I can logon to both domain OK
but the logon script on the new domain does not run.
If I deregister a PC from then old domain and register it
into the new domain I can logon ok in the new domain and
the logon script works fine. The PC does not have the old
domain in its logon screen. I need to be able to logon to
both domains and have the logon script run for each
respecive domain.

Any ideas why the logon script on the second domain doesnt
work?
