cropping tool rant

When I'm in Word (versions up to and including 2003), and I click an image
and then choose the cropping tool, is there a way to get it to signal me
when it has hold of one of the grab marks on the image? If an image is dark,
you can't see the marks. They're black and INSIDE the borders of the image
sometimes making it impossible to see them so you have to GUESS at whether
or not you have one. Now usually I do all my photo editing in PhotoShop but
sometimes like when I'm emailing something to someone quickly (Outlook using
Word as editor) I want to just quickly crop it from there. But geeze, what a
pain sometimes. So is there a setting that lets me see these better? They
should blink or change color or somethign when you hit one wiht the pointer.

The crop handles are rather more obvious in Word 2007 as they are larger and
feature a white border. In the meantime Photoshop is overkill for a simple
cropping job. I tend to use the SnagIt editor or Picasa 3 for simple tasks
like this.
