Make sure the picture toolbar is displayed (click on View > Toolbars >
Picture if it isn't) and then click on the crop icon (it looks like two
corners overlapping each other). Drag the side handles of the picture to
crop it, your cursor becomes shaped like a T when you have grabbed the handle.
