Critical update Service pak 1 (KB837009)

Every time I log on Critical update I am asked to download
Ser Pak 1 KB837009. I have downloaded it at least 5 times
and history shows that it was successful yet something
seems to be astray as I continue to be asked to download
this service pak. Why?

i have been asked by windows update to install Security
Update for Microsoft Windows 823559 a total of twenty-two
(22) times since july 03. i have duly complied but it has
not stopped asking yet. think you had it bad?
