criteria-duplicating

I have a query in access that generates a report from certain criteria that
is selected. It goes to the print preview and the report is exactly what we
want. But when we print the report, it asks for the criteria again. If we
do not put it in then it will print a blank page. Is there a reason why the
print command is making it go through the selection criteria again?
 
The report is re-opened to print. You should tell us where the criteria is
coming from. When you say "is selected", it makes me think your criteria
involves a form control.
