Creating Waterfall Plots In Excel

A

Andrew

Firstly apologies if I have allready posted this but I experienced
problems just after hitting post and now cannot locate my message in
the group.

Anyway my question is this...

Does anyone know of a method for producing waterfall plots using
Excel. By this I mean creating a graph with three axis. An x, y and z.
I am wanting to plot temperature against Engine Speed and torque.
Ideally I would like torque along my x axis temperature as y with the
engine speeds along the z axis.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

That's not the type of waterfall chart he seeks. I haven't yet seen the
type of waterfall chart desired by the OP implemented in Excel. Although
one of the local gurus might just point one out that I haven't seen yet...

Maybe if you hum a few bars....

Aside from Andy Pope's pseudo 3D Scatter Chart (see
http://andypope.info), I can't envision how this would look. But if
Derek were to post a link to an example, he'd be sure to get responses.

It would have to be a 3D chart, but XL doesn't support cardinal values
for the x or y axis. So, the only way to create a waterfall chart in
XL would be if all the x values (and, independently, the y values) just
happened to be equally spaced.
