Creating timeline

I can create a title page and import the first mpeg file, but when I attempt
to import the second file my project/software hangs up. I can easily play
each file separately with the software. I have a Inspiron 6000, with XPSP2,
2GB ram, 3058 paging file, 67GB free hard drive. In order to begin again, I
have to use Windows task manager. Upon Checking the Even Viewer, I found that
the system hang was caused by Event ID 1002, faultrep.dll, but can't figure
out what that means. I uninstalled IE7 but that didn't make a difference. Any
help would be appreciated as I have tried various softwares and have found
this one the easiest to follow and would love to be able to use it.

I looked through all the 64 pages of comments and turned went under options
and turned off my Nero options as I don't use the software anyway. After that
I could easily create my movie, opening and ending credits, etc... My problem
now is that I can't write the movie file. I get a memory error almost
immediately upon trying to write the file to my hard drive. I checked the
size of the file and it is small, I have more than enough space. WHat would
be your suggest for this error?
