Creating Time location diagram in Excel

Hi,
I have a database which contains around 200 activities with start and
finish dates along with the chainage (eg. 1.2- 1.6km). I would like to
prepare a time location diagram in excel which will contain around 20
activities and the time period in one axis and chainage on the other.
