Creating Slipstream Bootable XP Pro_SP 2 CD

I have just created a "Slipstream XP Pro_SP2" Bootable CD by following
the detailed description on www.tomshardware.com

I decided to test it by changing the Boot Priority to CD in the BIOS
Setup and then re-booted the PC with the newly created "Slipstreamed
CD" in the CD drive. When asked to "Press Any Key " it brings me to a
Blue Screen with the following message :- "Please Insert Disk labelled
<Professional ServicePack 2 CD into Drive A . Press ENTER when ready>

This is the first time I've attempted to boot from a CD so was not
sure what to expect but , I then tried booting with the normal XP Pro
Installation CD and this proceeded to load Windows in the same blue
screen and would have continued if I had not stopped it.

I presume a Slipstreamed XP Pro_SP 2 should produce the same initial
results as the non-slipstreamed XP CD and that, therefore mine has
errors in it somewhere but why it should ask for a CD to be inserted
into Drive A is , to say the least , a bit of a surprise !! I cannot
think of any steps taken in the creation of this disk which would
cause a message such as that !.

Before I re-try with another created Disk I was wondering whether
anyone here could suggest what went wrong ?

I have no idea what went wrong with your slipstreamed disk, but I can say,
I had good results with the information provided by the following link. I
tried a few others and found no joy.

LOL, JAX

And just to give you a third option...
Try the (freebie) AutoStreamer program. It's simple and virtually
fail-proof. Far easier to create a slipstreamed disk then any other method
I've used.
