Creating Pop up reminders and calendars

I am trying to create a Calendar, which can be accessed by
a group of different users. They can then see what has
been entered in that calendar, and schedule things.

I also want to implement reminders, so if the database can
check the dates within different fields then if a match is
found a reminder would appear on that screen for that
particular user or an email could be sent!!!

Does anyone know how I could implement such function in
access???? I have thought that a calendar for everyone
maybe tricky, but reminders should be possible. After all
if you could use the now date call and program in a
response then a reminder should pop up. I just have no
idea how to do that!!!

Any help would be greatfully recieved!!!
