Depends on what your needs are. Outlook's autoarchive process will not
archive Contacts since Contacts do not become outdated and rarely if ever
contribute to file size limitations.
Clarify what you need to achieve. It is certainly simple to create PST files
into which you can copy Contacts, so I would assume that is not your
question.
