Creating fonts with eudcedit.exe

Dave Neve

Hi

I have created a font (one letter and not a whole series) using the Windows
XP tool 'eudcedit.exe'

But there seems to be a hitch at the moment of safeguarding it.

The number of my font is E000 (first available reference in the software)
and apparently it is put into a folder called EUDC (available in all fonts)

But when I try to find and use this font from Word, it is nowhere to be
seen.

I go into special characters and click on 'insert' and then 'special
characters'.

When I click on Private Characters, I notice that Word looks for a character
called F000 (not E000) as expected.

Word then crashes every time and takes the computer with it.(need to cut off
power and reboot)

Any ideas please?

Thanks

This may or may not address your specific problem, but just today I
bookmarked this helpful page. Reading it you might find some step
you omitted:

Unit 2.4 Character Sets: Using eudcedit.exe

(It's in English, not deutsch.)
