creating first paragraph letter CAPS

Where, if any, is the setting that sets the very first letter in a paragraph
to be capped and about 2-3 lines tall...but ONLY that first letter?
 
addition..........

I found how to do the initial caps where it drops it down into the lower
lines but is there a way to make it stand over the lines? Hope that makes
sense

Format > Drop Cap
