I'm by no means an expert and have had many bumps in the road with ASP in
VS.NET 2003. But what I have concluded from my own experience is that it's
better to leave classic ASP in Interdev. I have found it problematic in
VS.NET and since I converted one of my projects to see how it would work,
with many pit falls, I have decided that I'm better off keep ASP out of
VS.NET, for several reasons.

First, My master files are on a server outside my LAN and Interdev was much
easier to check in and out files when needed b/c of the Master vs. Local
mode option in Interdev. With the project that I converted, I would have to
use a manual FTP to get and send my files, Where Interdev handled that for
me and I didn't have to worry about missing a changed file.

Second, there is not way to add an ASP file to the VS.NET templates, at
least not that I have found, and so I was constantly copying one of my old
files for a template and pasting it into VS.NET.

Third, when I first installed my VS.NET, Interdev lost the debug ability,
which is why I decided to transfer my files to VS.NET, but after I made the
transfer, VS.NET didn't debug ASP files and I couldn't find any
documentation about the problem, very disappointing... So I tried
uninstalling and re-installing VS 6 (Interdev) and after I applied VS6 SP5,
Debugging worked in both VS.NET and Interdev, so now I use them
side-by-side. Interdev for my old project where the client doesn't want to
upgrade, and VS.NET where I'm beginning new applications.

Conclusion: I would say, run them side-by-side and keep you old projects in
Interdev unlees planning to convert them. Just my opinion on course. ;-)
